Spiritual Direction
I suppose there are various understandings of what spiritual direction is and what it isn't. To me, it includes intentionally taking the time to allow the wisdom and truth within you to show up, be seen and heard. These words by Parker Palmer ring true to me:
“The soul is like a wild animal—tough, resilient, savvy, self-sufficient and yet exceedingly shy. If we want to see a wild animal, the last thing we should do is to go crashing through the woods, shouting for the creature to come out. But if we are willing to walk quietly into the woods and sit silently for an hour or two at the base of a tree, the creature we are waiting for may well emerge, and out of the corner of an eye we will catch a glimpse of the precious wildness we seek.”
I seek to create a quiet, safe, welcoming space for you to witness a glimpse or remembrance of your own spirit. Since your spirit is uniquely, intimately yours, I have no attachment to what it does or doesn't want, need, or believe. Instead, I hope that together we can follow its' urging towards the beliefs, practices, questions, intentions, and actions that are most life-giving, nourishing, energizing, and meaningful to you. As we do so, I recognize that we may encounter grief and wounds along the way. It is always my intention to hold space for such wounds while offering a compassionate accompaniment that may in time lead to healing and restoration.

First Session
Your first 30 minute session is complimentary. This a time for us to connect and discern whether it aligns for us to continue meeting together.
Follow-Up Sessions
On-going sessions are generally 60 minutes each at a frequency determined by you. Sessions can potentially be longer or shorter upon request. My normal spiritual direction fee is $75/hour, however, I do offer lower rates for those in need. Please contact me to discuss options that may better fit your circumstances at this time.
